Job Profile and Objectives
Under direct supervision of the CDC Lab Manager, the purpose of the position is to prepare eyeglass wear for patients and customers. Colleagues in this classification provide technical work. Position is responsible for producing customized eyeglass wear, shipping, receiving, tracing, and staging of all customer frame and lens orders. Performs related work as directed. The lab technician will be required to crosstrain as needed in order to meet company objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtains job orders from sales team and clarifies all requests to ensure accuracy
• Maintains steady workflow to coincide with delivery time commitments to patients
• Notifies the leader on duty of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
• Receives incoming work, traces frames, stages incoming and outgoing work according to workflow
• Flexibility to move throughout the function as work demand requires
• Performs related duties as directed.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a lab or optical lab environment preferred
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
