I. Summary/Objective:

The Human Resources Specialist serves as a Business Partner for the field leadership, aligning the business objectives with employees and management in their assigned districts. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.

II. Responsibilities

Staffing

  • Approves new requisitions in accordance to store operating hours.

  • Ensures HC at every location is aligned with store allocated hours.

Onboarding Process

  • Conducts new hire orientation calls.

  • Completes and reviews NH Paperwork.

HR/Field Collaboration

  • People Calls

  • Works with Field Leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each location.

  • Improves Field leader capability through coaching and providing accurate advice and guidance on all aspects of managing people.

  • Encourages and guides field leaders to build a high-performance culture through regular feedback and coaching of their teams, supporting personal development and managing underperformance.

  • Serves as a point of contact for the field concerning HR practices and reinforcement.

  • Knows the store sales goals and trends that are impacting and driving business results.

HR Policies & Procedures

  • Elaborate, review and approve corrective counseling paperwork and Performance Improvement Plan requests.

  • Responds to inquiries from state government entities.

  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner.

  • Executes employment status updates such as promotions, and pay rate changes.

  • Explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team Members, reducing legal risks and assuring regulatory compliance.

Offboarding Process

  • Administers separation process

  • Conducts exit surveys for store management staff.

  • Reviews and confirms separation information with managers as needed.

  • Prepares and sends separation reports.

  • Complete verification of employment requests.

Analytics

  • Fills and updates reports as needed.

  • Performs any other duties as required and assigned

  • Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in administration, Psychology, HR or equivalent experience

  • +1 year of experience in HR related roles.
